  • ONGOING: IncludEd United needs your help to fulfill educators' wishlists. Executive Director Amanda Darrow explains the nonprofit's campaign to connect teachers and supporters to ensure classrooms are well-stocked this school year.   • Aug. 22: Steppin' On Main Presents, the 3rd Annual Mariachi Festival | 6-9 PM | Eccles Theater, 131 S. Main St., SLC. Marx Huancas, Mariachi Fuego's artistic director, brings 8 musicians with him to play live!

RadioACTive Pop! Explores Queer and Trans Pasifika heritage with Nuanua Collective 

August is Pacific Island Heritage Month in Utah, a state that's home to more than 60,000 Pacific Islanders. Nuanua—the Sāmoan word for rainbow—was formed in 2019 for LGBTQ+ MVPFAFF+ Pacific Islanders & QTBIPOC. Co-founder Ma’afu Suliafu and Director Jakey Siolo talk about Camp Nuanua, Fafa Fest, Tatala healing circles, and more.
