  • Nov. 10: Adopt-a-Native-Elder annual Navajo Rug Show & Sale, 6:00 p.m. MST online. "This year marks the 34th annual Navajo Rug Show & Sale. The spectacular theme rugs for this year’s online event are woven in natural organic colors and incorporate a modern and minimalist aesthetic with traditional Navajo patterns and symbols. The collection, “The Naturals”, has been created exclusively for this show and is not available outside of this unique event. Hundreds of additional authentic Navajo rugs have been reserved solely for this show as well. Note: The Theme Rugs and other Collection Rugs will not go live for sale until November 10, 2023 at 6:00 pm MST. Weavers set their own prices and receive 100% of their asking price. Because every rug and piece of jewelry is one-of-a-kind, the first person to complete payment for an item will receive the rug or jewelry. Thank you for your support!"

Kirk Robinson, PhD, Executive Director, Western Wildlife Conservancy. WWC is one of the plaintiffs in the lawsuit recently filed against the state for a bill passed in the last legislative session - HB469 - that allows hunting and trapping of mountain lions year-round without limit. It is predicted the big cats could be gone in three years if this isn't stopped.
