Dr. Richard Ferguson of the Black Physicians of Utah, which will host its 2nd Annual Family Fitness Day & 5K @ Valley Regional Park at 9:00 a.m. on Oct. 21. For details and to register for the 5K, click here. 

Grassroots activist Nia Maile, who will host a Community Conversation on gun violence on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 6:00 p.m. at West Ridge Academy, 5500 W. Bagley Park Road, West Jordan. The public is invited to come and learn about the issue and join Maile in preparing for the next legislative session.

UoU Prof. Amos Guiora from Jerusalem. An Israeli-American, Guiora spent nearly 20 years in the Israel Defense Force, retiring as a Lt. Colonel. Professor of Law at the S.J. Quinney College of Law, Guiora directs the college's Bystander Initiative.

  • Oct. 17: In-person open house at Utah State Fairpark, Bonneville Building, 155 N. 1000 W., SLC, 5:00-7:00 p.m.

  • Oct. 18: In-person open house at South Davis Recreation Center, Bountiful, 5:00-7:00 p.m.

  • Oct. 24: Community-led I-15 session with UDOT reps, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the , 280 W. 500 N., SLC

  • Nov. 13: Deadline to submit public comment online. "Your comments will help the study team gain insight into how the preferred alternative could serve you and your community and inform decisions regarding potential impacts and ways to mitigate those impacts. While you can contact the project team any time during the study, official comments for this phase of the study must be received no later than Nov. 13, 2023."

Voices for Utah Children's Anna Thomas, joined by Maria Soter of The Sammy Center and Brigette Weier of Care for Kids Network — just three of the organizations on hand tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. at the Utah State Capitol for a Stroller Rally to Push for Change for Child Care.
