Three cool festivals to check out in the weeks ahead. We heard from the following folks:

  • Alleyways Amplified founder Vishwa Srinivasan and musician Gavanni, who along with Peech and Snicks will be featured at the first Alleyways gig May 21st on Edison Street in downtown SLC. For tickets, click here.

  • Max Barnewitz and Wynter Storm Morning of the 2022 Queer Spectra Arts Festival, May 21, 12-9p at Sunset Studios, 1409 S. Main St., SLC. The festival is a safe space for artists who self-identify as LGBTQIA+ to showcase their works and engage audiences in conversation regarding art and queer identity. For more details, click here

A #RoundtableTuesday, pre-Mother's Day panel discussion, featuring sisters who roll. Special guests:

  • From the Sisterhood of Shred: Spock, Shannan Yates, Liz Myers, and Alisa and Cora Littig. The Sisterhood's opening day this spring is Mother's Day, May 8, at the West Valley Skatepark, 9-11am, 6yr through adults, all abilities. FREE. No sign-up, just show up!

  • From Chicks in Bowls Utah and Roller Derby: Kimah, SparKill, Punky, Bad Cop, Scream and Nacho Friend. Check out the Mothers Day Slay this Saturday, May 7. $10 at the door, which is 1415 S. 700 W., SLC.
