  • May 4 & 18, June 8 & 22: Acoustic Music Strolls invites you to get out on the Jordan River Parkway and enjoy the tunes from our roster of musicians. Bring your dogs, friends, kids, bikes, skates and smiles to enjoy the magic of our westside neighborhoods: May 4 & 18, above Jordan Park (1060 S. 900 W., SLC); June 8 & 22, above Constitution Park (1300 W. 300 N., SLC). The Strolls are designed to be casual, not socially taxing, and open to all members of the community. We focus on sections of the Parkway that are walkable and accessible. Along these routes, 8 - 10 acts are scheduled to perform as the audience moves through the show.
  • Fri-Sat, May 26-27: Busker Fest 2023. Don’t miss the main event on Block 70, surrounding Eccles Theater. Stroll along Main Street and Regent Street to see traveling and local street performers at the annual Salt Lake City Busker Festival. The festival is free, and chock full of quirky and memorable entertainment for all ages.

  • May 5: Dr. Phil Plait Lecture and Book Signing, 5:30 p.m. at Clark Planetarium, SLC. "What would it be like to sail above Saturn's rings, or watch an eclipse from the Moon, or stare in awe as sunset brings a million brilliant stars to the sky of a planet in a star cluster? Astronomer and renowned science communicator Dr. Phil Plait will show you, based on his book, 'Under Alien Skies: A Sightseer's Guide to the Universe.' More than just a simple description of events, this talk will take you to these distant worlds — so you can feel what it would be like to be there and experience them for yourself. King’s English will be selling 'Under Alien Skies' at Clark Planetarium starting at 5:30 p.m. on May 5, with Dr. Plait available for signing after the presentation. Tickets on sale now. Part of Clark Planetarium's 20th-anniversary celebrations.
