The League of Women Voters of Utah is keeping an eye on The People's House and invites you to join them. Ian Zabarte from Downwind, which made its debut at Slamdance this week. Dr. Jaffe returns with more tips for a sugar-free February.

Ian Zabarte, Principal Man and Secretary of State, Western Band of the Shoshone Nation. He's been in town for the premiere of Downwind at Slamdance. Zabarte's also part of the Native Community Action Council.

Sundance clips from RadioACTive Red Carpet Correspondent, featuring Brooke Shields and filmmaker Lana Wilson on their documentary, Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields.

Lara Jones shared a clip of filmmaker Lisa CorteĢs talking about the subject of her Sundance film, Little Richard: I Am Everything, after a screening in SLC. Magnolia has picked up the documentary, which should be released in April.

The People's Business with the League of Women Voters of Utah, a nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. Guests included Kathy Biele, league president; Deborah Case, Legislative Action Corp co-director; and league member Norma Wills.

  • RALLY: League of Women Voters of Utah press conference, Thursday, Jan. 26, at 12:00 p.m. on the south steps of the Utah State Capitol, 350 N. State St., SLC. "The League of Women Voters of Utah, along with 37 individuals in business, is filing an Amicus Brief in support of Planned Parenthood Association of Utah in its case to challenge Utah's trigger law banning abortion in the state. The League will be joined at a press conference by a group of religious congregations, organizations and clergy—representing six different faiths—which has filed a separate brief in the case. You will hear from individuals and organizations about their reasons for opposing this law."
