We're saying goodbye to two programs and announcing the return of two former KRCL DJs. After 19 years Maximum Distortion's co-hosts Forgach and Cody D have hung up the mics and retired the heavy metal show. Moving into the Wednesday time-slot, from 10pm to midnight, is Liz’s Rude Awakening, playing a mix of punk and ska.
As Rude Awakening moves, we welcome back Ma Black (formally of Night Estereo) to the airwaves with a new show NOVA FM on Wednesday nights from 7 to 10pm. NOVA FM brings multilingual artists from Latin America and around the world and features funk, jazz, alternative, punk, pop, and a little cha, cha, cha.
And this Tuesday, tune in for the final Night Light with Taylor, who has announced he'll be taking a break (for now) from his weekly show. Next week we welcome back former KRCL DJ Alana Burman with No Frontier in the Tuesday time-slot from 10pm-midnight where you'll hear old dad rock and experimental indie favorites with French electro-dance pop, South American singer-songwriters and rappers, East African instrumentals, and more.
Keep up with KRCL’s schedule, playlist, live player, and on-demand features at krcl.org and on the KRCL App.
