Tonight's edition of RadioACTive features the following people, organizations and/or events. Check them out and get plugged into your community:

Local filmmaker Nikki Bullock is casting for a short film. She's casting and fundraising now and plans to shoot in June.

  • Kickstarter: After You Get Back: A Short Film by Nikki Bullock. It tells the story of two best friends trying to give life meaning again. Quinn, recently released from an in-patient mental health stay, is inspired to “run away” to the Oregon Coast. Her best friend Margo agrees, and their getaway ensues. On the road, they find there are some things you can’t quite escape from. In the words of Kim Meyer, a Behavioral Health Specialist at Intermountain Health: “We need more stories like this. They give us examples of survivorship.”

Disney on Ice skater Isabella Brearton returns to her hometown and we’ve got tickets to give away!

  • Mar. 6-9: Disney On Ice presents Magic in the Stars @ Delta Center, SLC. "This all-new production brings the brightest Disney stars to life through cutting-edge figure skating, high-flying acrobatics, unexpected stunts, innovative lighting, thrilling special effects, eye-catching costumes, and stunning set designs." Featuring Utah's own Isabella Brearton in the role of Anna from Frozen II. Tickets can be purchased online at SeatGeek.com or in person at the venue's Box Office

RadioACTive Pop! walks the pop culture road to make connections across cultural divides. Tonight, Olivia and Lara welcome Samantha Smith, the woman behind Mind the Gap Fest.

  • Mar. 8: International Women's Day - Mind The Gap Festival at The Gateway, 18 N. Rio Grande St., SLC. "The Mind the Gap Festival returns to The Gateway on International Women's Day, March 8, 2025, featuring a program of live music, speakers, panel discussions, and workshops focused on women's leadership, economic equity, and the power of representation."

"We are transforming The Gateway's plaza into a vibrant community space featuring local musicians and business/nonprofit vendors. Meanwhile, the Winter Farmer’s Market will be indoors next door and Kiln will serve as the hub for the festival's panel discussions and workshops. The stage, presented by Salt Lake City's nonprofit community radio station KRCL 90.9FM, features:

"Your Free RSVP ensures your spot at this groundbreaking event. Consider a suggested donation of $20 – every dollar goes toward booking bands, supporting local nonprofits advancing gender equality AND helping us bring an even bigger music festival to Salt Lake City this August. Because waiting until 2158 for gender equality isn't an option. Let's accelerate action together." Reserve your free seat at mindthegapfest.eventbrite.com.
