  • March is Brain Injury Awareness Month. From Gleich: "There are almost 3 million brain injury-related ER visits in the US every year! And they can have devastating effects. But helmets can help prevent them. I never ski, bike or climb without one, and I encourage you to do the same. Remember to replace your helmet every 5-10 years or sooner if it’s damaged, as sun and heat can cause materials to degrade."

Today is the last day of Women’s History Month. RadioACTive checks in with Dr. Susan Madsen of the Utah Women & Leadership Project and A Bolder Way Forward. She lays out the landscape for women and girls after a state legislative session that saw lawmakers, in a surprise move, end the Women in the Economy Commission.

  • April 2: Start by Believing Day, 12:00-1:00 p.m. in the Rotunda of the Utah State Capitol, 350 N. State St., SLC. Event by A Bolder Way Forward: "This is to launch our three-year statewide Start By Believing public awareness campaign to help transform the way we respond and think about sexual assault. There will be speakers, information about resources, and opportunities to sign pledge cards to join the campaign and #startbybelieving! Please come and share this event with your friends and family in Utah!"
