A RadioACTive collaboration, featuring rising journalists of the University of Utah and community partners from The Other Side Academy and Amplify Utah.
During Winter Semester 2024, Stories From the Other Side brought together rising journalists from the University of Utah with graduates of The Other Side Academy, or TOSA, in a special community storytelling partnership with Amplify Utah's Marcie Young Cancio and RadioACTive's Lara Jones.
Based in Salt Lake City, TOSA is a nonprofit that helps folks—who say they were criminals, homeless, and substance abusers—rebuild their lives and reconnect to the community. For some, it’s the most difficult thing they’ve done.
