RadioACTive’s weekly live music hour continues its mission to amplify Utah’s independent music scene, spotlighting local artists every Friday from 6–7 PM on 90.9 FM KRCL. On April 25, the spotlight was on Salt Lake City's own: Stop Words.

Meet the Band: Stop Words

Stop Words is a four-piece alternative rock band rooted in the heart of Salt Lake City. Their sound blends earnest lyricism with a gritty, guitar-forward aesthetic. The band features:

  • James Johnson – vocals, guitar
  • Charlie Johnson – bass
  • Nate Ley – vocals, guitar
  • Michael Cook – drums

Their latest album, World Tour, dropped in February and has been gaining momentum both locally and online. Recorded independently, World Tour captures the emotional rawness and sonic texture of a band at the height of their creative evolution.
