Founders Day Fight in Wellsville, Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation, Live and Drive Electric

Hosted by Lara Jones and Nick Burns, tonight's RadioActive:

  • Clayton Johnson, Utah Clean Energy's Drive Electric Program coordinator

  • Part of Wellsville, Utah's Founders Day celebration is a reenactment of the Bear River Massacre, with little mention of the massacre. Braidan Weeks of KRCL's Living the Circle of Life and Darren Parry, chair of the Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation, express their concerns and efforts to resolve the conflict. Parry shared the historical account of his people and events that led up to the massacre and offered what his conversations with the Wellsville Mayor and City Council have been so far. Braidan talked about a rally planned for Wednesday's City Council meeting in Wellsville.

  • Live Electric launches to make electric vehicles cheaper, bolster charging infrastructure, and prepare transportation future for Utahns, while Drive Electric Plug-In Day will give Utahns a chance to see different electric cars and talk with their drivers Saturday at Tim Dahle Nissan in Murray. Considering an EV -- Electric Vehicle -- but not quite so sure? Check out these incentives.

  • Panel guests:

    • James Campbell, Rocky Mountain Power legislative policy advisor
