Utah Food Bank: Often when people think about donating to a food bank, their first inclination is to host a food drive, or participate in one of the major food drives. There are a multitude of ways to help, and we urge you to consider all of your giving options: Host a food drive, create a virtual food drive, or donate to your local pantry. For a list of drop off location, click here. When donating food, a general rule of thumb, is to donate things that you would also purchase for your family.
Winter Volunteer Guides assist with cross-country ski and snowshoe trips. Every volunteer is asked to attend orientation training. This orientation is for volunteers who are looking to become Volunteer Guides for the Salt Lake’s Winter Program. The two hour orientation will cover the following: Splore’s history and mission, ability awareness, and volunteer guide roles.

This skills training will cover the ins and outs of our ski and snowshoe equipment, how to run winter trips, and manage risk during the activity. Cost of this training is $40.
