Plarning for a Good Cause During Alternative Spring Break, Walking Out and Marching for Our Lives in SLC and PC, #LegUpdate from League of Women Voters of Utah

Guests:

  • Catherine Weller, League of Women Voters of Utah, with a recap of day 42 of 45 at the Utah Legislature. Just one last chance to meet up with the League for a brown bag chat about the session. They meet Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in the Seagull Room of the Senate Building

  • March for Our Lives SLC's Wilhelmina Graff (West), Aurora Allen (Brighton), Ermiya Fanaeian (SL Center for the Performing Arts), and Abena Bakenra (West) gave us an update on the March 24th event.

  • Students Faith Staley and KarstenBeling (Park City High School), who are planning a Walkout For Gun Control — one of as many as 40 — on March 14. CLICK HERE to find or plan one near you.

  • Alternative Spring Break with the Bennion Center's Laura Schwartz and students Sam Tse and Erika Gee. Tse led a group of 12 students, who worked with inmates at the Utah State Prison and volunteered at Ogden’s Youth Impact and the Ogden Bicycle Collective.
