Women Leaders, Homeless Shelters, Deporation Fears

Leading on Campus – Gender, Health, & Human Rights: University of Utah students Alysa Edwards and Mckayli Abbe talk about the work of their Honors Class to address sexual assault on campus. In addition to launching a new website featuring campus and community resources, the class is working to reallocate budget to the Women's Resource Center.

Tonight's panel discussion included:

Pat Jones, former state lawmaker and political pollster, who now leads the Utah Womens’ Leadership Institute. Jones will lead a discussion on women and policy Tuesday, March 21, during the Business Women's Forum luncheon
And Cherie Wood, Mayor of South Salt Lake since 2010. She is the first woman to occupy the mayor's office in the city of 24,000.
