Protecting children from lead poisoning with Denni Cawley of Utah Physicians for a Health Environment and Annie Blake, Utah Lead Coalition.
UPHE has been awarded its first federal grant from the EPA Environmental Justice Small Grants Program. This is especially important after reports on lead being present in the drinking water of more than 200 Utah schools and Utah ranked #3 in the nation for toxic releases. UPHE is co-chair of the Utah Lead Coalition, which is working to identify more children at risk for lead poisoning.
