- Saturday, Jan. 6: Me4U Legislative Summit, 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Salt Lake County Council Chambers, 2001 S. State Street, #N1100, SLC. Designed to help communities of color in Utah learn about the Utah Legislative process and how to engage to successfully advance policy agendas. This is intended to provide a safe space for Utah's communities of color to learn about the legislative process, engage, and brainstorm. We welcome all who desire to be part of this experience.
Panel discussion on the social justice stories of 2017, featuring:
- Anna Thomas of Voices for Utah Children, the only statewide, multi-issue child advocacy organization that speaks out on behalf of children.
- Kilo Zamora, social change facilitator, educator and activist.
- Attorney Nubia Peña, Advocacy & Prevention Training Specialist at Utah Coalition Against Sexual Assault (UCASA).
