Pioneer Justice League staged a direct action in the gallery of the Utah House of Representatives earlier today. Rev. Monica Dobbins of First Unitarian Church of Salt Lake City, Rev. Curtis Price of First Baptist Church, Pastor David Nichols of Mount Tabor Lutheran Church, and Billy Palmer, in his role with the Utah Poor People's Campaign, shared their experiences and goals of their social justice work.
Plan-B Theatre artistic director Jerry Rapier brought in Dee-Dee Darby-Duffin and Chris Curlett, whose plays-in-progress will get a public reading this weekend. The actors-turned-playwrights developed their work as part of Plan-B’s Theatre Artists of Color Writing Workshop.
