  • Andrew Jackson Elementary is now Mary Jackson Elementary. RadioActive talked with Principal Jana Edward and School Community Council Chair Neal Patwari, who also is a parent of a Jackson student, and students of the pre-K-6 grade school.  After a year-long study and survey and a unanimous vote of support last night by the Salt Lake City School District, the school will henceforth be known as Mary Jackson Elementary in honor of NASA's first black female engineer

    • Author of The Crime of Complicity, Guiora is Professor of Law at the S.J. Quinney College of Law, the University of Utah and Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) in the Israel Defense Forces. He is actively involved in the effort to legislate Holocaust-Genocide education in Utah public schools.

  • Historian Gregory Hinton and UMFA volunteer and tour program coordinator Ashley Farmer with a preview of tomorrow night's conversation about LGBT history and culture in the American West at the Utah Museum of Fine Art.

    • Thursday, Feb. 8: Out West with Buffalo Bill. In this dynamic survey of LGBT history and culture in the American West, a historian shares his longing to return home and how William F.“Buffalo Bill” Cody led the way. Gregory Hinton is a Buffalo Bill Center of the West Fellow and associate editor of the Papers of William F. Cody.
