A Home of Their Own, KUED's 60th Anniversary, recap of day 25 of 45 at the Utah Legislature with the League of Women Voters of Utah and the YWCA of Utah, intro to the newly formed Utah Civic Action Network

- Peggy Carrico and Kathryn Fitzgerald of The League of Women Voters of Utah on gun legislation, death penalty amendments, indigent defense and more at the Utah Legislature. Plus, plenty of commentary in light of the mass shooting in Florida this week.
- Erin Jemison, public policy director for the YWCA of Utah, which saw its #1 legislative priority, SCR 11 Concurrent Resolution on Awareness and Treatment of Maternal Depression and Anxiety, debut today. Jemison also reported on several other bills, ranging from home visiting pay for success, equal pay study, family planning, and juvenile and restorative justice.
- Todd Peterson and Jack Bloom of the Utah Civic Action Network, a new Utah-based grassroots citizens group working for a more inclusive, tolerant and fair society.
- KUED's 60th anniversary, featuring:
- Mary Dickson, Director of Creative Services at KUED Channel 7, the Utah PBS affiliate
- KUED Producer/Director Sally Shaum, whose most recent project, A Home of Their Own, follows three Utah families as they navigate homelessness. It's part of KUED's Homeless in Utah initiative.
- Kathleen French, whose family's story is featured in the documentary
- Broadcast schedule for A Home of Their Own:
- Monday, Feb. 26, at 8 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on KUED Channel 7. Shaum's other documentary, Homeless at the End, will air at 8:30 p.m. the same night.
- Tuesday, Feb. 20, free screening and panel discussion, 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Megaplex Theatres At The Gateway, 165 S. Rio Grande St., SLC. Tickets are FREE, however seating is limited. Pick up your tickets at the KUED table in the theater's lobby. General seating will begin at 6:35 p.m.
