Unidad Inmigrante's Amy Dominguez and Fabiola Madrigal, with an update on the fate of Maria Garcia. With all appeals exhausted, the mother of four will be deported to Guatemala on Christmas night. Before her plane leaves, Garcia will be surrounded by community members who have been helping to organize and fundraise on her behalf since September.
Dec. 25: Organizers and supporters of Maria Garcia will be meeting by the American Airline ticket counter, located on the ground floor of Terminal 1 at the Salt Lake City Airport at 10:00 p.m. Christmas night. The public is invited to join them.

A portion of proceeds will go to benefit the VOA's Homeless Youth Resource Center. There will also be a box for canned food and coat donations - bring 'em with you and put em' to good use!

Dec. 25: Sweets Hawaiian Grill's 20th annual Happy to Give Project, which provides a hot meal, winter clothing and entertainment for the homeless and need of Provo from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Christmas Day.
