It's that time of year: birds are back and so are the tulips, crocus and Spring Radiothon! Throw off Father Winter and put on the new KRCL Spring T-shirt for just $6 a month and support community radio.

Thank you to everyone who helped RadioACTive and Food Justice Coalition raise $914 for community radio tonight. Let's name names:

  • Adele Pincock
  • Anonymous x 5
  • Eva Lopez
  • Griselda Flores
  • Kim Butterfield
  • Richard Ferguson
  • Val MC

You also unlocked $914 of on-air, in-kind messaging for Food Justice Coalition. Founder and CEO Jeanette Padilla Vega can use the matching grant to further the nonprofit's work creating food security and equitable food access through free, nutrient-dense, plant-based meals.

If you missed your chance to donate during the show, you can still help the Coalition with its Challenge Match for Good. To do so, CLICK THIS UNIQUE LINK.

Voices Amplified: Student journalist Allison Shafter introduces us to artist and dancer Stephanie García, one of Salt Lake City's most celebrated dancers and choreographers. García serves her community and highlights Latinx culture and creation through dance. She is co-founder and co-director of Punto de Inflexión and PROArtes Mexico.

  • Voices Amplified is a collaboration between KRCL RadioACTive and Amplify Utah, working together to mentor the next generation of journalists. Amplify Utah is a nonprofit news media organization led by Marcie Young Cancio, a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Communication at the University of Utah, where she designs and teaches innovative journalism and media courses that integrate critical journalism skills with hands-on community engagement.

Guests' views, thoughts, or opinions are their own and do not necessarily reflect those of the board, staff, or members of Listeners’ Community Radio of Utah, KRCL 90.9fm. Tonight's RadioACTive team included:

  • Executive Producer, Host: Lara Jones
  • Volunteer Host: Stephanie Mahina, Talanoa Studios
