Utah Pride Needs Speakers, West High Skeleton Crew, Utah Poet Laureate Paisley Rekdal, Dr. David Parker on Starbucks and Understanding

Tonight’s show included:

Jocelyn Johnson of the Utah Pride Festival, which is seeking speakers for its Utah Pride Week - March & Rally, Saturday, June 2, from 1-4 p.m. It starts with a rally at the Utah State Capitol building, followed by a march down State Street to Washington Square, 451 S. Shriya Pingali of 9112 Skeleton Crew, the all-girls robotics team at West High. During the FIRST Championship in Houston, Texas, over the weekend, Pingali won a Dean’s List Award, an honor which goes to only 20 high school robotics students in the world.
It is National Poetry Month. Tonight’s featured master of verse: Utah Poet Laureate Paisley Rekdal, who read from Imaginary Vessels, and talked about her project to "map literary Utah." Details to come!!!
Dr. David Parker of the Center for Creating Community. He shared his take on the Philadelphia Starbucks incident.
