  • It is National Poetry Month. Tonight’s featured guests: Jack Garcia and Aaron Gates, co-editors in chief of Peculiar Journal, a queer literary journal which celebrates the release of Issue #5 tomorrow night at Pioneer Book, 450 W. Center St., Provo.

  • A Taste of Africa, a Congolese festival of music and food, with Mama Africa and Mabiba Baegne. Check it out Friday, April 20, 6 p.m. at Pierpont Place in downtown SLC.

  • A preview of Science on Tap V: Precariously Balanced Rocks, with:

    • Seismologist Dr. Amir Allam, featured speaker at Thursday’s event. He’s a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Utah in Geology and Geophysics and is a Seismologist
    • Audrey Rutz, Science On Tap CEO
    • Sky Hatter, Science on Tap  Chief Creative Officer
