Why does sexual assault cost Utah $4.8 billion annually? With that question, Community Organizer Billy Palmer made his debut as a Co-Host of KRCL's RadioActive tonight.

Rep. Angela Romero stopped by the show to talk about the bills she'll be running on the subject, including a request for $1.5 million for sexual assault prevention and education. Last year, Romero succesfully passed a concurrent resolution to recognize the first Wednesday in April as "Start by Believing Day" to support victims of sexual assault:

Chanta'l Lauryn of the Utah Chapter of UN Women spoke about Ending Violence Against Women: A look at refugee populations and resources here in Utah, a public event this Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, from 6-8pm at the YWCA, 322 E. Broadway Street, Salt Lake City. The event will feature different groups who work with and support refugee women in Utah, including Samira Harnish of Women of the World, who stopped by the program with Marie-Chantal Niwenshuti:
