Host Lucas Lithgow spoke with Rachel Santizo and Randall Carlisle of Odyssey House, a non-profit organization that provides treatment to people facing substance addiction. Recently honored as a Graduate of Excellence, Rachel shared her experience of overcoming drug addiction and choosing to pursue higher education. Randall, a veteran news anchor who works in media and community affairs for Odyssey House, joined Rachel to discuss programs and community development available through the non-profit.
Lucas then spoke with Diana Wilson and Peter Moosman. Diana, an adjunct professor at Salt Lake Community College who was featured in a student article published in the Salt Lake Tribune covering deadnames, shared her experience with her deadname. Peter, coordinator for the college’s Gender and Sexuality Student Resource Center, joined the show to discuss name and pronoun changes on college platforms such as Canvas, the process of changing one’s name on school records and other school initiatives.

Genderbands, a non-profit organization that helps trans and gender non-conforming people pay for transition-related needs
