#VoicesAmplified has taken over another RadioActive show. Student journalists from The Globe, Salt Lake Community College's student newspaper, partnered with Amplify Utah and KRCL to bring you diverse stories. On this show, they spoke with Globe journalist Jonny Tollestrup for a legislative preview, Interim Chief Diversity Officer and JEDI overseer Alonso Reyna Rivarola, as well as JEDI intern Ariane Barboza. Plus, Prof Lin Chen, Dr. Xin Zhao and Anthony Dang about the Lunar New Year, and #popculturenuggets.

Student journalists from The Globe, Salt Lake Community College’s student newspaper, once again took over RadioACTive for #VoicesAmplified, a collaboration between SLCC, Amplify Utah and KRCL that seeks to amplify diverse stories and storytellers. Listen to #VoicesAmplified every Monday at 6:00 p.m. through SLCC’s spring semester.

Host Valene Peratrovich spoke with Jonny Tollestrup of The Globe, a student-run paper at Salt Lake Community College that focuses on diverse storytelling about things that matter to your community. You can check out their stories at www.globeslcc.com. Jonny gave us a peek at legislative priorities and discusses how Utah’s $1B education fund will affect schools across the state.

Valene then spoke with Alonso Reyna Rivarola and Ariane Barboza about the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for Social Transformation (JEDI4ST) program at SLCC.
