Radio Caravan: Code, Debugging the Gender Gap

In the new documentary CODE: Debugging the Gender Gap, filmmaker Robin Hauser Reynolds exposes the dearth of American female and minority software engineers and explores the reasons for this gender gap and digital divide. For her the issue came into focus when her daughter went off to college and started to struggle with computer science:

 

 

There will be a free screening of the movie Tuesday, September 1, 7 p.m., at the main City Library, 210 E. 400 S., Salt Lake City. A post-film Q&A with director Robin Hauser Reynolds will be moderated by KRCL's Lara Jones.
