Students from Escalante Elementary come on to talk about their podcast "This Escalante Life" and how it was created in partnership with Framework Arts. KRCL's Day in the Park, Plus a Rocky Mountain Community Radio Roundup exploring animals found around the Rock Mountain West. 

Tonight's edition of RadioACTive features the following people, organizations and/or events. Check them out and get plugged into your community! 

KRCL's Day in the Park returns this Saturday September 7th from 1-7pm at The International Peace Gardens in Salt Lake City. The day features performances by Kate MacLeod, Miss Pandos, Academia MisRaíces, Malialole, Mel Soul & The Heartbeat, The Buckle Busters, and Michelle Moonshine. Enjoy food from Balabe Senegalese Cuisine, Pandos Navajo Tacos, and Touch of Polynesia. Ebay Hamilton talks the history of the day, and what it looks like as part of KRCL's future. 

"This Escalante Life" is the Escalante Elementary student made podcast from last years 5th grade group. In partnership with Art Teacher Megan Hallett and Framework Arts. Board member Kerri Hopkins comes on to talk about the project and students who worked on the podcast join us as well. 

Rocky Mountain Community Radio's Regional Roundup, explores animals found around the Rocky Mountain West. We delve into the history of the Western Horse, the significance of the Churro sheep to the Navajo Nation, the comeback of Trumpeter swans from the brink of extinction in Wyoming, and how animals, including wolves, "talk" to each other.
