On Wednesday, Feb 25, Troy from Across the Tracks joined Eugenie on Women Who Rock to present a special Black History Month presentation – “Black Women Who Rock Americana.”

There is a deep tradition of Black Women in folk and country music, from pioneering artists like Mickey Guyton and Linda Martell to established artists like Rhiannan Giddens and Rissi Palmer and newcomers like Queen Esther and Lizzie No. Black women are actively redefining Americana, roots, and country music by exploring the genre's roots, while broadening the scope of the genre – often mixing genres in new and exciting ways.

Listen to the show on-demand here.
