KRCL celebrates Black History Month and the continued influence, and contributions of Black Musicians. All month long we'll be highlighting the work of some of the most influential Black Artists in Music.

We start the month with the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin. Cultural icon, civil rights activist, multiple award winner, Franklin was the first woman inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Listen weekdays during the 8am, 11am and 3pm hours, as we highlight essential music from some of the most influential Black musicians.

And, at noon we feature Hip Hop Pioneer Roxanne Shante, who just earned a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, becoming the first solo female rapper to do so on Women Who Rock: Black History Month with rock pioneers, MCs, soul queens, divas and more in a celebration of the strong Black women who inspire us.
