Grassroots Groups
The League of Women Voters of Utah, which promotes political responsibility through informed and active participation of citizens in government. Click here for the 2018 Legislative Session bills and resolutions the League is following. Each Wednesday during the session, the League meets at 11:30 a.m. in the Seagull Room next to the Senate Cafeteria for a brown bag review of what is coming up in the session. Listen for them Monday-Thursday nights at 6:00 p.m. as they keep KRCL's RadioActive show up-to-date on legislative action.
Action Utah, a non-partisan community engagement network dedicated to elevating the voices of ordinary Utahns. Click here for the 2018 Legislative Session bills and resolutions AU is following. Each Tuesday during the session, AU meets at 12:30 p.m. in the Seagull Room of the Senate (East) Building, Capitol Hill. Alliance for a Better Utah has a bill tracker tool reflecting issues it's tracking and whether they support certain bills.

Sierra Club Utah works to protect communities and the environment through educational and legal programs, and legislative and political activism. They, too, have a new bill tracker, which will keep you up to date on all of the bills they're watching, as well as their position. Civolicy.org is a new grassroots political organization in Utah. Current issues: teen suicide prevention and liquor law repeals. As "lobbyist for the people," Civolicy is a research and advocacy group that supports citizen involvement in the policymaking process.
