KRCL PRESENTS
This Week on RadioACTive, M-F at 6PM

This Week on RadioACTive, M-F at 6PM

Weeknights from 6-7 PM, RadioACTive passes the mic to grassroots activists, community builders, punk rock farmers, and DIY makers and musicians.

Monday, April 13: Every Monday, RadioACTive Pop! filters the news through a pop culture lens, because … you are not alone. Smile Jamaica’s Robert Nelson and City Weekly’s Bill Frost join us to preview KRCL Night Out 420. What’s on your playlist of stoner music, films or headlines? Plus, Anthology, the artistry, courage, and innovation that continue to shape the future of Repertory Dance Theatre.

Tuesday, April 14: Looking for Earth Day events? RadioACATive gets a sneak peek of Science + Literature: Curiosity, Connection & Coexistence, an Earth Day conversation between mycologist Patricia Ononiwu Kaishian and Utah poet Katharine Coles. Kaishian blends science writing and memoir in her debut work of nonfiction, Forest Euphoria: The Abounding Queerness of Nature, which the two will discuss in person later this month. Plus, the 40th Annual Living Traditions Festival issues a call for volunteers.

Wednesday, April 15: Join Nick @ 6 as RadioACTive passes the microphone to talk about Earth Day with SUWA land stewards and Always Outdoors, the new Utah-made social networking app for outdoor enthusiasts. Plus, C9 Scenes Inaugural Street Photography & Urban Art Fair and Julie Avellino, an Ogden second-grade teacher who needs your votes to become America’s Favorite Teacher.

Thursday, April 16: RadioACTive Workshop shines a light on rising journalists at the University of Utah and Salt Lake Community College tonight. Plus, UTAHGives Day and Arts @ The Gardens.

Friday, April 17: All is good in the agrihood every Punk Rock Farmer Friday on RadioACTive. Join us for homegrown music from Stage Fright and tips from urban farmers to grow your own food and flowers. Plus, Skywatcher Leo T!
