  • July 28-29: Junior League CARE Fair @ West High School, 241 N. 300 W., SLC. Friday, 9a-8p; Saturday, 9a-5p. No appointments are necessary. All ages are welcome. Free childcare, up to 2 hours while parents are receiving services. "CARE Fair is committed to helping those who need it most. There are translators for several different languages to assist the immigrant and refugee population, who often don’t have access to health care. In addition to FREE health and dental services, we give away bike helmets and car seats on a first-come, first-served basis."

  • July 29: Utah Pacific Fashion Show, 6:30 p.m. in the Grand Building at the Utah State Fairpark, 155 N. 1000 W., SLC. "Showcasing the best of the Pacific & Oceania. Come witness history in the making as we bring together fashion designers from all over the Pacific to show nothing but the best!"   • Aug. 5: 11th Annual Utah Pacific Island Heritage Month Kick-Off, 5:00-10:00 p.m. at Lodestone Park, 6252 W. 6200 S., Kearns. A one-day, family-friendly community celebration to kick off Utah Pacific Island Heritage Month. FREE. For vendor registration, click here.   • Aug. 12: Opening of Tatau: Marks of Polynesia @ the Utah Museum of Fine Arts, 410 Campus Center Dr., SLC. "Join the UMFA for an all-day celebration of Tatau: Marks of Polynesia. The Museum is excited to share the legacy of tatau with our community. Come engage with this beautiful collection of photographs and learn about a thriving cultural tradition. The UMFA, along with a group of community partners, worked together to create a fun celebration honoring this meaningful exhibition. Enjoy food, watch dance performances, and see the art on view in the galleries. We hope you see you there!" Admission: $5 Adults; FREE for children and youth (ages 0–18). Buy tickets in advance here.
