  • Now - October 15: Cool Zones across Salt Lake County"Salt Lake County (SLCo) Aging & Adult Services, in partnership with The County Library, SLCo Parks & Recreation, and the Salt Lake City Library will operate the Cool Zone program through October 15. Cool Zones are areas in county and SLC facilities where members of the public can escape the summer heat, hydrate, and learn about available programs. Air-conditioned locations where seniors and persons with disabilities can beat the heat not only reduce their individual energy costs but protect their health as well.For more information visit the Salt Lake County or check out the Cool Zone Map

  • Shout out to Nuanua Collective, they had their first Tatala, a healing group for the LGBTQ+ Pasifika Community.

  • K.A.V.A. Talks: Knowledge Above Violence Always (K.A.V.A.) is a men’s support, education, and advocacy group with a cultural focus on Pacific Islander men, though all men who are looking for a support system are invited to attend meetings, events, and seek guidance.   • First-time Homebuyers Assistance Program (New Construction): Utah Senate Bill 240 (2023) created the First-time Homebuyers Assistance Program for allocation by Utah Housing Corporation. This bill provides Program funds to assist approximately 2,400 first-time homebuyers to purchase a newly constructed but not yet inhabited home. Up to $20,000 in Program funds can be borrowed for the home. Purchase Price not to exceed $450,000. Funds are available until depleted. First-time homebuyers must qualify for a Utah Housing Mortgage, with a Utah Housing Participating Lender. For more details, click here
