Virginia Pearce, Director, Utah Film Commission
With over 20 years of experience in the film industry, Virginia Pearce has been the Film Commissioner for the state of Utah since 2014. Under Virginia’s leadership, the Utah Film Commission has brought five major network television series and numerous award-winning projects to the state. Virginia shares about “100 Years of Film and Television in Utah”

Marcie Young Cancio of Amplify Utah discusses and highlights the new Utah College Media Collaborative. As she is joined by Utah college journalists & filmmakers, Megan Swann (Weber State University) and Prabhjot “PR” Bhatia (University of Utah)

    Wednesday, April 3; 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM at the Broadway Centre Cinemas: 111 E 300 S, Salt Lake City
    Join PBS Utah and the Utah College Media Collaborative for an insightful discussion about media and misinformation, as well as an in-depth look at a student reporting project investigating how people who study, teach, and work at local college campuses feel about the presence of guns.

Matt Black, President and Founder of Utah Documentary Association is the director/editor of the feature documentary Bright Spark: The Reconciliation of Trevor Southey which had a six week theatrical run in Utah and will air nationally on PBS in 2024.

J.R. Hardman, local Utah documentarian, educator, and Civil War reenactress. Shares about her first feature-length documentary, Reenactress (in production).
