RadioACTive's Risshan Leak and Utah Film Center's Russell Roots, who both are part of the center's Black Bold & Brilliant series. BBB events are programmed for the benefit of Black, Afro-Latino, Latino, Indigenous, LGBTQ, and allied communities in Utah; however, all are welcome to thoughtfully participate.

  • Nov. 1: Black Bold & Brilliant Presents Night of the Living Dead (1968), 7:00 p.m. at The City Library, 210 E. 400 S., SLC. FREE, but an RSVP is requested. "Featuring a roundtable discussion by the Black, Bold & Brilliant team with Jose Manzo, Spy Hop’s Lead Film Mentor, and other cult film lovers and media historians to celebrate Halloween and Día de Muertos/Day of the Dead."

Pioneer Theatre Company presents a fully staged version of The Rocky Horror Show now through October 31st. RadioACTive spoke with cast members David Beach (Dr. Scott), who has appeared in all three Rocky Horrors at PTC, and André Jordan (Eddie), who makes his PTC debut with the production.

  • Now - Oct. 31: Rocky Horror Show at Pioneer Theatre Co. Pioneer Theatre Company’s favorite way to celebrate Halloween! A groundbreaking cult musical and beloved glam rock tribute to B-horror films, The Rocky Horror Show returns with some of the most iconic characters in musical theatre history: squares Brad and Janet, mad scientist Dr. Frank N. Furter, his “monster,” and, of course, a swath of drive-in usherettes and creepy sidekicks.

    Join PTC for a full throttle Rocky Horror experience in all of its interactive, campy glory—celebrating the landmark musical’s 50th anniversary. Let’s all do the time warp again!
