  • March 11: Working Women Move History, 1:00 p.m. at the Salt Lake Liberation Center, 352 Denver St. #205, SLC. Event by PSL Salt Lake - Party for Socialism and Liberation: "International Working Women's Day was made famous by the heroic actions of Russian women on March 8th, 1917 who came out of the factories and working class neighborhoods to protest World War I, poverty, and the dictatorship of the Tsar. At our forum we'll discuss the history of International Working Women's Day, how working women have made history, the current assault on women's rights in Utah, and how we will organize for women's liberation. Come discuss the meaning of women's and LGBTQ liberation with an educational forum, revolutionary art making, and collaborative study. Refreshments will be provided. Women united are unstoppable."

Utah tax expert Steve Young, a partner at Holland & Hart SLC, explained the Utah Legislature's passage of a $400 million tax break. Young has lobbied state tax and local issues before the Utah Legislature, Utah State Tax Commission, and local governments.
