The 16th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival

Join us for the 16th Annual Craft Lake City(R) DIY Festival Presented By Harmons! The DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Fest brings in 20,000+ attendees and features hundreds of local artisans, vintage vendors, foodies, youth entrepreneurs, performers & STEM exhibitors over three days in the second weekend in August. This year’s DIY Fest will take place at the Utah State Fairpark from August 9th to 11th! Upgrade your DIY Fest experience this year by getting tickets to the VIP Lounge, offering shaded seat access with priority view of the stage for Friday’s headliner performances, two tickets for beer or craft cocktails, and craft food bites from local purveyors! Swing by the Google Fiber STEM Building for presentations, demonstrations & hands-on STEM craft activities from local tinkerers, tech startups, nonprofit organizations and educational institutions, providing attendees with unique learning opportunities — including our Google Fiber Water Rocket Launches! But that’s not the only fun activity for kids. Our dedicated Kids’ Area features craft stations and more for kids of all ages! Even dogs get to join in the fun, with our dog park providing water, local-made treats and resting cots so visiting pups can stay comfortable. With local musicians taking to the stage each day, artworks and wares on sale ranging from ceramics to soaps to cyanotypes, and local food vendors providing attendees with delicious snacks and meals, the Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival is an event created by locals, for locals, that celebrates all things local. Other features at the fest include: DIY Stations offering free make-and-take craft activities, the Saturday-only Kid Row where youth makers sell their crafts, and more!

Of the album, MOJO states, “Prime Isakov: his velvet baritone glides over elegant and shimmering Wild West mirages.” The Associated Press proclaims, “He has that magical ability to convey both urgency and grandeur at the same time…Simple. Straightforward. Utterly evocative.” And No Depressiondeclares, “this is Isakov’s genius. He turns a short poem into a magnificent piece of music that can captivate for hours.” In support of the new record, Isakov has confirmed an extensive international tour through 2024, including the US, Canada, Europe, United Kingdom, New Zealand, and Australia. When he is not on the road, he runs Starling Farm (a small farm in Boulder County), which provides produce to CSA members, restaurants, and Community Food Share (a local food bank).

John Vincent III

After touring his acclaimed, self-released 2019 debut album, Songs From the Valley, John Vincent III was ready for a bit of a break. Nearly four years later, the 27-year-old Nashville/Houston-based folk troubadour has distilled that once-in-a-lifetime experience into his beautiful and evocative sophomore full-length, Songs for the Canyon. Co-produced by Vincent with Tom Elmhirst (Adele, David Bowie), and featuring additional production from Tony Berg and Ryan Hadlock, Songs for the Canyon is a massive leap forward from a proudly DIY artist who has already built a diehard fan base on the strength of his heartfelt, stripped-down, classic folk sound.
