Hosted by Lara Jones and Nick Burns, tonight's RadioActive show mixed politics and poetry. Lineup:
- Micah Vorwaller, Utah Health Policy Project, on healthcare as a lifesaver. UHPP is part of the Healthier Utah Coalition, which took part in today's #SaveMyCare Day of Action.
- Morgan Lyon-Cotti, Hinckley Institute of Politics, on the political tea leaves in the wake of today's #breakingnews: Utah Congressman Jason Chaffetz will not be seeking re-election.
- Connor Boyack, Libertas Institute, on teaching American values to kids, as well as the libertarian take on food trucks, a ballot initiative for medical marijuana, and grownup conversations needed to solve our political polarization
- Poetic education with three SLC poets:
- Lisa Bickmore, a Salt Lake Community College professor, who took home Ireland’s Ballymaloe prize in 2015
- Nic Contreras, SLCC Community Writing Center. Get in on the center's 30 Poems in 30 Days contest here.Submissions are due 3 p.m. Saturday, May 6
- Tayven Godfrey, who is a finalist for Sugar Slam Team Selection Finals, featuring Good Ghost Bill, Thursday, April 20, 8 p.m. at Watchtower Cafe in SLC.
