The Intermountain Sustainability Summit is an annual benchmark event where sustainability professionals from business, non-profits, government, and education come together, along with the next generation of leaders, to learn, share, network and build momentum as we work to improve our communities, environment and economy. Over 400 sustainability professionals, engaged citizens, and emerging leaders will gather at Weber State for the 10th annual celebration of the Summit.
This year’s keynote speakers are environmentalist, entrepreneur, author, and activist, Paul Hawken, at 2:30 p.m. and Senior Climate Scientist & Director of Climate at the Union of Concerned Scientists, Brenda Ekwurzel at 8:30 a.m.
Check-in opens at 7:30 a.m. and sessions go until 5:00 p.m. This year's event hosts over 40 local and national speakers. Tracks include Clean Energy, Buildings & Cities, Equity, Climate & Engagement, and Zero Waste. The Summit also offers the Eco Expo where participants can mingle with sustainably minded organizations. In addition, the Student Poster Contest where students will showcase their work related to sustainability.
