  • Mark Maryboy, Braidan Weeks and Alastair Bitsoi of Utah Dineh Bikeyah, which earlier today gathered with the Sierra Club outside the SLC Office of the Bureau of Land Management to protest the bureau's online oil and gas lease auction that offered parcels adjacent to Utah’s Bears Ears, Hovenweep, and Canyons of the Ancients National Monuments. The public can attend one of two BLM scoping meetings and submit public comments in person:

    • March 26, 4:30-8:00 p.m. at San Juan High School, 311 N. 100 E., Blanding, Utah

    • March 27, 4:30-8:00 p.m. at Bluff Community Center, 3rd E. and Mulberry, Bluff, Utah

  • Susi Feltch-Malohifo'ou and Simi Poteki on the 3rd Annual Kava Talks Dinner -- Saturday, March 24 -- to support men standing up against violence through education, outreach, and conversations. Meet the men of KAVA Talks! that stand with women and children to eliminate violence in our community.   • Zach Frankel of Utah Rivers Council, a non-profit organization that promotes sustainable aquatic ecosystems by protecting Utah’s watersheds and the communities they support. Late last week, URC filed a 38-page complaint against state Rep. Mike Noel (R-Kanab) over what they allege to be conflicts of interest regarding the Lake Powell Pipeline. The URC has launched a petition asking the Attorney General to investigate Noel. CLICK HERE to read the complaint.

  • Meet Cassidy Jones, new southwest regional coordinator for National Parks Conservation Association.

    • NPCA will host Civic Voice Lessons Trainings at Southern Utah University, May 14-15, 2018 in Cedar City. The advocacy workshop enables participants to gain competency and confidence around important life skills, including understanding and increasing their influence, creating and presenting compelling messages, and interacting with decision makers.
