RadioACTive team earns 1st, 2nd in Top of the Rockies Excellence in Journalism

Congratulations to your RadioACTive team, whose work was recognized with two awards in the Society of Professional Journalists Top of the Rockies Excellence in Journalism awards.

The annual competition awarded KRCL's community affairs show First Place, Small Newsroom, Religion, for its November 6, 2023, show: Speak Up and Stand Up Against Hate, which featured members of Utah's Muslim, Jewish, Israeli and Palestinian communities talking about the Israel-Hamas conflict—which was one month old at the time.

RadioACTive also took Second Place, Small Newsroom, A&E and Food, for its November 23, 2023, show: A Bigger Table  Thanksgiving Special, featuring the food traditions of family gatherings from different pockets of our community and chef secrets from Prime Corn, Boca Dulce, Facil Taqueria, Jamaica's Kitchen, Fillings and Emulsions, James' Gourmet Pies, and home cook Khalilah Tso.
